There will be blood is a great movie. In what way would you want to turn it on it's head? Would you tell the same story again, but with different characters, setting, or time? What about changing the genre in some way, or what about telling the story from the point of view of the deaf boy, and explain why he set fire to his fathers room. Or the preist and his fall from a respected leader of the church to a money obsessed loser?

About your A Journey from the Potter's Wheel idea, do you mean a story from the point of view of a piece of pottery? I don't quite understand. Can you explain more? If so, can you really call it fanfic? Fanfic is when you take an idea that already exists and build on it, or change it in some way. It doesn't sound like your potter idea is based on anything existing, so I don't think it could be called fanfic.

I wrote all my ideas for now on my blog
, take a look.

Thanks for your comments. Those initial ideas I had aren't going anywhere. Please take a look at another idea which I will

How about this one-
Story starts with the memory of a 3 year old child of an uncle that disappeared from a Family picnic(in Fiji at a popular water fall and water-hole.) There was a police investigation and so on.... the rest of the story will be fictional.

I was telling my neighbour about this(she's a movie buff). She mentioned a movie- Title "Don'T look Now". It's a horror come Tragedy. She said the movie's about a father(in Venice) who lost his daughter said to have drowned. The night she went missing she was wearing a 'red cape'. One day walking through some narrow streets in Venice he sighted (in the distance) and a reflection in a shop window of a little girl in a red cape. He thought her saw his daughter, he runs towards the pla ce where he spotted her. he loses her but goes in pursuit...

Let me know if this is a better idea to pursue?

Gennoveus -going back to 'There Will be Blood" , Can't get it from my mind and am thinking more about some of the things that impacted the deaf boy's life and 'his decision' at/ towards the end of the movie. Will let you know how it develops. ( A bit slow on all this stuff as my world for most of my adult working life is commerce and 'number crunching'!
